Can I edit Album title before ripping somehow? (Mix album)

Post by nicolaluna » Sun Aug 24, 2008 12:38 am

Hello all,

So, my little sister made a mix cd for me and it is the first mix cd I am trying to rip with Max. I am confounded because there doesn't seem to be a way to edit the title of the cd before I rip (right now it is a cd serial number.) I would like to change that field. I only see Title, Artist, Date, Genre, Composer, and Comment.

Am I wrong? Is there a way to do this? A script? Anything?

Also, Max is not picking up any song titles on this CD. Is this the norm for MusicBrainz on mix albums, or can it sometimes, in anyone else's experience, pick up at least some of the song titles in a mix album?

Thank you! :D

MusicBrainz CD lookups are based solely on the disc's table of contents, so it won't be able to identify any custom CDs you have.

You can edit the title of the album by changing the Title text field. The track titles are edited by either the track drawer or double-clicking the table view.
