Can't Rip any files - "Unable to create a temporary file: N"

Post by Baldor » Thu Jul 17, 2008 3:56 pm

Hi Guys,

Im a first time user of MAX and so far its been grim. When I went to rip the CD I got the following error for every file that I attempted to rip and thus far no search in the forum has turned up anything useful. Im hoping that by posting on here someone could possibly point me in the right direction.

[NOTE: this exception originated in the server.]
Unable to create a temporary file: No such file or directory

Also is it just me or is the search for the forum a little bit less than good?

Did you customize the temporary directory in the preferences?

Hi sbooth,

I thought I did but it actually wasn't (the folder icon was white rather than blue to indicate an actual folder). Sorry about that Im a relative n00b to OS X.

The temporary directory (output location for "Temporary Files") should normally not be customized but left at the default setting "Default".
