May be worth landing in the Max source tree. :D

63 views and no answer from the developer. He must be busy getting Max 0.8.2 ready :D

3.98 is committed in svn now. I'll post a new unstable build in the next few days.

Where would I find the version of Max with LAME 3.98 to download, please?

Here: http://svn.sbooth.org/max/trunk/
Just pull the SVN source and compile it yourself.

^ Then you probably just have three options:.
* Wait for the next release build.
* Hope and pray that someone put up a nightly build for download.
* Learn how to compile.

Hi,

Well, got there in the end.

Never compiled on a Mac before, so the journey was longer and more involved than I expected.
But I now have a working app from the latest source. :-)

However...I've hit a new problem with it.
Probably linked to the script which pulls CD info from iTunes. But when I use Max I get the attached error.
(Column Identifiers used with NSTableView..)

Can replicate on the official download too, so should probably move this thread as I think it's the script at fault, not the latest build.
But any quick ideas?

Thanks,

Ed

Delete Max preferences file. (Script to do that easily is included in the release version download.)

A bit of a newb question (I'm new to Mac and to Max) but is there a way to install the new LAME (or even use an older version) in Max right now, or do we have to wait for the new version? (I don't want to build an unstable release atm.) I tried using the native MP3 conversion but couldn't figure out how to get the conversion settings I'm familiar with (V0 or V2 LAME). Thanks!

If you are so inclined, you can build the LAME.framework from Max's svn repository and replace the one inside the current version of Max.

The release version of Max uses an older version of LAME.
