I've noticed using v0.81 that Max does not copy the following tags over when converting from Apple Lossless to M4A (Lossy):
Grouping
Album Artist
Sort Name
Sort Artist
Sort Album Artist
Sort Album
Sort Composer
...Shouldn't it be just a straight tag exchange since they're in the same container and use the same "standard" (I use this loosely) tags?
Tags Not Copied Over
Re: Tags Not Copied Over
Max uses a generic container for metadata, which is limited to certain tags. Essentially, if you can't edit the value Max ignores it.
The one exception is Album Artist; that tag should be copied over because it is a tag Max recognizes.

Re: Tags Not Copied Over
Yeah, I was curious about the Album Artist tag not copying over too, since I figured that should be part of the standard.
I guess then that this applies to any and all formats that Max can encode to/from? I tested with a FLAC file to M4A and it copied over all but those specified tags as well. I was thinking I'd have to re-encode all my music to Apple Lossless to take advantage of the convenience it offers, but it looks like I can keep my stuff as FLAC files (which I have more confidence in anyway).
