Which version of VBR does the AAC encoder use ?

Subject says it all really but I'm tempted to move away from XLD for my FLAC->AAC conversions as tmkk has yet to address the issue of 'moov' atoms in AAC files created with CoreAudio's AAC encoder being written at the end of the file, which prevents iTunes Sharing with (most) files converted. XLD gives you the option of CBR, ABR, VBR (constrained) and True VBR and I'm interested to know which method Max uses.

The VBR in Max is constrained VBR.
