Ripper log files

Post by NoName » Thu Jun 01, 2006 6:44 am

I just want to comment that I've been testing both the paranoia and Comparison rippers and generating log files of the ripping activity, but the log files don't seem to include any useful or even remotely conclusive information.

I realize that (more) secure ripping is a development priority at the moment, but when the paranoia ripper is used, I would find it much more useful if Max would generate the same kind of log files as those dumped by xACT after a rip. In the case of xACT, you can easily scroll through not so many lines of text and quickly identify something like "track 09 recorded successfully," which is very comforting. In cases when xACT can't record a track successfully, the output is easy enough to comprehend as well.

So, my question is, are there any plans to change/improve the format of the log files in Max?
