I tried to install 12.4 over 12.4, now D doesn't work at all

Post by bgrant » Thu Dec 29, 2011 5:22 pm

I tried, perhaps stupidly,to install 12.5 over 12.4, which I purchased form the app store. I got a message that 12.4 was locked and now Decibel wont play! A message says it is damaged or incomplete. Please help!

Thanks!

This is something that I've tried to get working (installing the direct download version over the MAS version) but there may be hiccups. Once the App Store version is run it should copy its license to a shared location which can then be read by the direct download version. If you are getting messages about damaged or incomplete bundles I would delete them and download Decibel again.

If you look in your ~/Library/Application Support/Decibel/ folder, what files are there?

2 things:

Apps Store Receipt Folder with a file inside that seems to be a receipt

Playlist,plist

I got the 12.4l back, with some help from Apple, but I'd like to get 12.5 installed.

Thanks!

I submitted Decibel 1.2.5 to the Mac App Store the same day I released it on this site, but it was rejected for storing preferences in more than one place. Since this was not required behavior according to the app store policies I appealed the rejection but the appeal was denied. I changed the preference writing behavior and resubmitted version 1.2.6 to the Mac App Store last week. I hope it will be approved this week, but I have no control over the review process.
