Output Device Options

Post by Dexter12345 » Wed Nov 02, 2011 3:22 am

Hey!

I'm playing my music through a Usb Interface and switches between that and my Usb Dac.

In the settings for Decibel - Output Device Options.

What should I choose on those three for best audio quality?

Would be very great if somebody could help me!

Thanks!

Best regards

I think this is a very situation-dependent question. I personally prefer to listen through my headphones connected to a USB DAC vs. the built-in audio, but I am not blessed with golden ears.

Okay!

But what about the settings in Preferences in Decibel, what should I choose under Output Device Options

I misunderstood your question, sorry.

I would enable automatic sample rate switching for sure. Whether or not you enable memory play is going to be dependent on where your audio is stored and if experience glitches during playback. On my machine I don't need memory play, but for network or slow drives it could help. Exclusive access is another option that depends- I would experiment and see if you can tell any differences with it enabled or disabled.
