or right-click plus 'play' or 'add to playlist' is much easier than the finder-button was.

but nevertheless i also use finder to manage my music (instead of itunes) and would appreciate a better handling, f.i. a search engine just for the music-folders. (or is this possible to configure with spotlight?)

Drag and drop is fine but I use headless mac mini as a server and control it through iPad VNC so drag and drop is a real pain in the but. My music is all in FLAC organized in folders and I was able to just select files in Finder and click on Finder button in Decibel. That was much simpler than dragging or Ctrl-O and selecting.

I also vote for bring-back-Finder-button

Oh yes this works... Thnx!

I still want the add finder button though!
Except if I try the iTunes plug in (if it works sometime, because now it crashes the app so I deleted it) and I like it more!!

Another vote for the finder button from me, I also use flac and organise the music files in directories in mac mini and found the option really useful, please bring it back.

Decibel also publishes a service, so you can click the gear button in the Finder's toolbar and select either Play or Add to Playlist, accomplishing even more with fewer clicks.

But I'd prefer not to have a Finder window open or to navigate to it. The iTunes functionality is wonderful, BTW.

Another vote for the add finder button to reappear. While the gear button in the finder toolbar is nice, it doesn't seem to allow you to add entire folders in the way the add from finder button did--only individual tracks at a time. Using the add tracks function in Decibel's menu bar at the top isn't as smooth either because it then opens up its own separate navigation window from which you then have to re-navigate to the folder you wish to select (and that window also doesn't recall the column size effectively, but that's just a typical Mac thing).

The overall issue here is one for those of us who wish to add a folder of tracks, but are doing so through an application or device which doesn't allow for shift clicking, right clicking, drag/drop or highlighting a series of files/tracks (Mocha VNC-lite on the iPad for example). This mainly comes into play for people a) not organizing their files in a iTunes format/environment and/or are using the finder to search their library and b) using an iPhone or iPad with a basic VNC application as "remote control."

I'd love to see this feature return, as it's one of the main reasons I settled on Decibel as my primary music player in the first place. Another solution (for me at least) would be if the gear button also allowed for adding folder content(s) in the same way as the add from finder button.
