Error message upon disc insertion

Post by powerpc » Tue Mar 27, 2007 8:42 pm

Hi all!

I'm a new MAX user.... using MAX 0.7.1 on a G4 Powerbook (OSX 10.4.9). I do not have an internet connection at the moment (for automatically acquiring CD and track info online) so I manually input all CD info currently. This leads to my "problem": As soon as I pop in a new disc, MAX displays the following error message:

"An error occurred while accessing the disc on device disk1. *** -[NSCFArray objectAtIndex:]: index (16) beyond bounds (16)"

I just click the OK button and this error disappears, but what is causing it and how do I eliminate this in the future?

Thanks for your time!

If you open Max's Preferences, you'll see on the General tab these two options:

Automatically acquire artists and track names
Automatically save disc information

I'd imagine you'd have to uncheck the first, and possibly the second; otherwise, Max will try to call out to MusicBrainz for you.

does this error just mean that the CD info couldn't be found? there isn't anything wrong with the files or rips?

This is a bug; I believe it has been fixed in the svn trunk.

It shouldn't affect the rips. The svn trunk is the source code repository; you can download the latest unstable build for those changes.
