Error message when converting

Post by Rebel » Mon Mar 26, 2007 9:31 am

I tried converting some FLACs to Mp3 & Mpeg4, and every time I get the error message below. I'm assuming there's a problem with these files, because it's never happened before. I can send a file for examination. The encoder window stays blank, as if nothing's happening, but a check of the output folder shows that conversion is taking place. The FLACs play fine in VLC. I can convert other FLACs, it's only this one box set that won't work.

There was an issue with Max' handling of FLAC files with no metadata, but those caused crashes, which you aren't having.

Which version of Max are you using? Did you delete the preferences when upgrading? If so, could you try the unstable version and see if it does the same thing (FLAC was updated to 1.1.4 in the unstable)?

After a complete re-install of Max 0.7.1, it's working great. :D
