Ripping CD-R produces noise bursts

Post by barrysb » Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:11 pm

I'm a newbie to Max with a peculiar problem ripping a CD-R to create WAVE files. I recorded the CD-R on a professonal CD-R recorder. I'm using a G4 iMac to edit the sound tracks on the CD-R to create a master recording of the event. All tracks play fine using Quicktime player but upon conversion to WAVE files, the outer tracks of the CD-R have many noise bursts occuring randomly during music portions of the tracks.

Is there a setting of Max that will take care of what appears to be a tracking problem?
