Text Encoding

Post by yan4866 » Sat May 14, 2011 6:55 am

When I open a cue sheet (along with an ape file) that contains characters of other language (Chinese, French, etc.), Max seems not recognize the file. I guess it might be text encoding issue. Anyone has similar experience? How do I set text encoding in Max? Thanks much.

Right now there is no way to specify the text encoding Max uses. Max uses an external cue sheet parsing library, which isn't very flexible when it comes to character encodings. The library itself is character set agnostic, but there is no way to determine what the correct character set would be to use. Max just assumes UTF8 for all cue sheets.
