Getting album art as folder.jpg for existing library

Post by MattD » Thu May 12, 2011 2:42 am

I have an organized library of FLACs thanks to many hours of work with Max. However, I only recently noticed that I could have been getting album art this whole time. I would like to go back through my library and find album art for everything I have and save it in each album folder as folder.jpg

My library is organized as .../{albumArtist}/{albumTitle}/{trackNumber}. {trackTitle} (as listed in Max)

Is this possible with Max? I tried it with one album and it looked like it was reconverting rather than just grabbing the image and saving it. If it is not possible, is anyone aware of software that will automate this process?

Max won't be able to help with this, unfortunately.

I think most people end up creating their own solution using bash, perl, or some other scripting language. Try googling for "album art downloader" to get started.
