Album Art Without Conversion?

First, this little gem is amazing.

The ability to save album art to the album's folder is fantastic, especially since it will save it as "cover.bmp", which works great with rockbox on my iPod. Question or request though; is there any way to save album art in the same manner as before without converting the files in the folder? I have a bunch of music that doesn't need converting, and it would take hours to drag and rename each album art file manually. If there is a way or it could be added it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again!

I'm a bit confused about what you would like to do. Am I correct in saying you need to rename existing album art files, but the tags you want to use for renaming the album art files are in the audio files themselves?

ah, no the problem is rockbox doesn't read the album art tags, only the "cover.bmp" that's in the folder with the file.

also, the reason I was converting files at all what because rockbox's decoder for aac files was none too well, so I converted them to mp3. in the process, I had max save a copy of the album art to the same folder as "cover.bmp" so those that I had converted would have album art.

Problem is, I don't need to convert most of my songs, but I still want there to be a "cover.bmp" file containing the album art for each album in the folder with it. Now, I have all the album art named as "{album}{artist}.bmp", but I would have to drag each one to the correct folder, then rename each individually.

edit: I don't need max to use my existing album art. I would just want it to download a new copy from amazon like it does now. Maybe there is just a pass-thru option so all it does it save the album art to the folder from amazon?
