Can't launch program

Post by agerundajr » Mon Jul 17, 2006 8:02 pm

I just downloaded MAX 0.6.1 and when I double click on the MAX icon the splash screen flashes for a second and then closes. Basically. I can't launch the program.

I'm using a Powerbook 17" 1.5GHz running OS 10.3.9.

Any suggestions?

Any crash or console.log entries that give you a hint?
Cause you have a supported OS, so it just should work...

Are you sure you see the splash screen? I don't see any screen or window when I launch Max. Only the icon in the Dock and the menus in the menu bar indicate that Max is running.

Max requires OS X 10.4 or greater to run. It uses several feature that are new to 10.4 so a 10.3.x version is unlikely.

^ I totally forgot.
I did not remember that the DiskArbitration framework is Mac OS 10.4 only. I thought it was limited to Mac OS 10.3.9 or later since it is compiled with GCC 4.0.
