Titles and Track Names Empty

Post by jace » Thu Apr 10, 2008 9:32 pm

Hi.
When I put CDs in to rip to FLAC format the titles and track names do not appear. (though iTunes can find them fine).
Version .7 was working fine. I upgraded to .8 and deleted the sbooth pref file prior to installation. I'm using Mac OSX 10.5.2.
Thanks.

It may simply be that details for the particular CDs you tried weren't in the database that Max consults. Sometimes the metadata is in the database iTunes pulls from but not in the one Max pulls from. You could check a few other CDs, particularly ones that're popular or that have been around for a few years, to make sure it's not just the particular ones you're trying.

In the zipped file that the current version of Max comes in there's a script called Get iTunes Metadata.app. It's also here:

You can use that script to get the metadata from iTunes and put it into Max.
