First Letter of Artist

Post by mickyw » Mon Aug 27, 2007 4:50 pm

Can someone point me to the documentation for the file name layout? I was wondering how to rip in this format:
{First Letter of Artist}/{Artist}/{Album}/trackname....

also, is the Artist smart enough to ignore "The"?

Thanks,
Micky

Right now you cannot rip this way in Max. The only supported filename tags are in the Format Specifier drop down menu in the Output tab- there currently isn't a way to add only the first letter of the artist. Also, the metadata values are directly substituted in; Max does not ignore articles.
