newbie question

Post by Richard » Wed May 02, 2007 4:58 pm

Hi, I've followed the instructions to 'create audio files from compact discs', the tracks are all ticked to indicate sucessful encoding - but there is nothing in my Music folder and I can't find the files using Spotlight. What am I doing wrong?

Did you first follow these instructions in the README file?
To select which output formats will be generated:
1. Open the Formats section of the Preferences and double-click the desired format from the list of available formats
2. Edit the encoder settings, if desired

Hi Mike, yes, I double clicked AIFF and selected 24 bit. However I note that I did not tick the box to the left - should I have done?

Just to confirm - the box does need to be ticked. It's working now.

Since you're ripping from a CD, 16-bit is all you need (instead of 24-bit).

Thanks. I saw that someone else on the forum had ripped at 24 bit and praised the resulting sound, so I thought I'd experiment.
