Help with Flac and APE files format

Post by bichenoubi » Mon Aug 31, 2009 4:37 am

Ok, this is not directly related to Play, but the developper probably knows the answer.
I deleted by mistake a lot of my FLAC and APE files. I purchased a recovery tool, but it needs some info about flac and ape files (which it sadly doesn't have by default) in order to be able to find and recover the files.

The software ask about:
  • Header (in hexadecimal)
  • At offset (in decimal) [I suppose it's the header position]
of each format.

It will be really nice if someone could tell me the info.

Thank you very much

For Flac, the header is : 66 4C 61 43 00 00 00 22 at offset: 0.
For APE, the header is: Hex: 4D 41 43 20 and I don't know the offset.

Unfortunately, the software crash when seraching for flac files.
