Buffer setting on brand new Macbook Pro

Post by tomman888 » Sun Jul 10, 2011 1:53 am

Hi I know about this app from a friend and have grown fond of it. I formerly used Play on a 1.83GHz macbook pro running 10.4.1 with a big FLAC library of vinyl rips.

Anyway I wanted to be sure of some settings...If I'm running USB output is it OK to set all to minimum i.e.; slices to 10 and frames at 2048? I don't have latency issues at this point. FYI the usb device is a Musical Fidelity V-dac which supports 16 bit/48kHz over usb but upsamples to 24/192.

Thanks in advance and also for creating a nice-sounding digital program.

I think the defaults should suffice on any new machine.
