Re: Where did all the preference settings go?

The button issue could be related to the localization. Maybe it exists in some localizations only. I wonder if it should be there at all.

Re: Where did all the preference settings go?

The "little lozenge button" is the little, transparent looking, drug capsule shaped, button at the upper right corner of the window. In Max's preferences window it toggles visibility of the icons for the various preferences panels.

Re: How does D interface with last.fm?

Not sure what you are trying to do. Decibel is a music player, it plays music files that you have on your computer or on a connected disk and that you have added to the playlist in Decibel.

Re: How do I know D is working in the background?

How do i know that when I am listening to you tube or lastfm that the signal is running thru D? It isn't. "Exclusive access" means that when Decibel is playing, the signal from Decibel has exclusive access to the output device and sound from other sources, like sound from YouTube, will be blocked. ...

Re: The document "xxx.flacc" could not be opened.

About the first problem, ending up with a non-compatible format: Maybe you chose AAC ADTS from the encoding list, while you probably intended to encode to Apple MPEG-4-audio (= AAC and Apple Lossless)? I never encountered the second problem you mention. (I also never saw flac files with a .flacc ext...

Re: Getting iTunes to find Max's files

The answer is simple: No software by Apple itself supports flac files. And that includes iTunes. Apple wants you to use its own lossless format. There are third-party solutions to make iTunes import and play flac files. When you do a Google search for "itunes flac", you may find some.

As far as I am aware, Max only supports regular two-channel stereo.

Re: Decibel can't play WavPack files

The forum software only allows certain kinds of files to be uploaded based on the file extension. A zip archive of the file will certainly be accepted. The developer asked you to send a an example problematic WavPack file for testing. If you do not send it, you may never know what might be the probl...

Re: Decibel 1.2.5 prerelease available

I removed the Disable digital volume option, as it was unnecessary. Setting the digital volume to 1 will bypass any digital volume application to the audio. Exactly what does that mean? Setting the digital volume to 1 is the same as disabling digital volume? And where can I find to what value digit...

Re: Lion compatible version of Get iTunes Metadata.app

In Snow Leopard or Lion, open the existing script in AppleScript Editor (in /Applications/Utilities), choose Save As... from the File menu, in the Save dialog choose "Application" for File Format, and Save. Et voilá, there is your Intel (and Lion) compatible script. Or you can follow the instruction...

Re: Multi-CD sets only match CD1

You can use the "Get iTunes Metadata" script to use the database that iTunes uses (Gracenote). The script is included with Max downloads, can also be found here: http://forums.sbooth.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1930 (For freeware like Max, only free databases can be used in the application itself.
