Re: Add mp3HD to Max?

I posted this right after I read about this on Slashdot at http://slashdot.org

Add mp3HD to Max?

Are there plans to incorporate Thomson's new lossless mp3 codec, called mp3HD, into Max?

Feature Request: Audible Alarm

Please consider adding to Max an optional audible alarm that would signal when the ripping/encoding process is finished.

Re: Unable to open Play

[quote="sbooth"]That is strange- the column name should be last_skipped_date (note the underscore before date). If you open the file "Play.app/Contents/Resources /upgrade_database_for_cue_sheets.sql", does it look like the following (specifically the column names)? This is very strange as everything...

Unable to open Play

I'm unable to open Play, both 0.3 and the latest unstable release. I get the same error message for each version. " The SQL statement for "upgrade_database_for_cue_sheets" could not be prepared. The SQLite error was: no such column: last_skipped_date" Any ideas how I can correct this? I'm using a 1....

Re: Where's Max 0.7.1?

I'll need some more clarification- I'm not able to verify this issue. Is it the disc numbers or the track numbers that are displaying with a decimal point? I checked the file conversion, cue sheet and disc windows and all disc and track numbers display correctly. Is it possible this is a Tiger-only...

Re: Where's Max 0.7.1?

Thanks! But I've decided to give MAX 0.8 another chance. Though I really do question your reasoning in numbering the discs as 1.0 of 1.0 and so on on.

Where's Max 0.7.1?

Where can I download Max 0.7.1?

I don't care for the new disc numbering style (e.g 1.0) nor it use of Musicbrainz.

At least not without rewriting all the GUI, Core Audio, etc. code. Since is Mac OS 10.4 and higher only.
Thanks!! Although it would be nice on a dual-boot computer.

Max on Linux?

I was wondering -- Could a user of Linux download the Max source code code, compile it, and have a working copy of Max on their Linux computer???

I was just curious. I think MAX is just fine but I'm sure others have some additional "wishes".

Why, after ripping/encoding a 21-track CD with Max 0.7.1 and adding it to iTunes 7.2, are 3 of the tracks missing track numbers plus additional data from Max is appended to each of the 3 track titles? Are those titles especially long ? I mean longer than, say, 128 characters ? The shortest title is...

That looks like ID3 data, but why iTunes would be appending it to the track's title I can't say. In the past, iTunes has suffered from notoriously bad ID3 handling. If you open the file in another application that handles MP3s (for example QuickTime Player) does the data appear correctly? Yes, it d...
