MAJOR BUG: Tracks reported successful are truncated!!

Using Rip 1.0b14 to digitize 5 CD's recently ended up in 1 album with partial songs being digitized even though Rip reported a perfect score for all of them. It looks like there is a problem with WAV -> FLAC conversion after the tracks have been digitized. What's even worse is that out of the 309 al...

Re: Cue Sheet support

Thank you for clarifying, I couldn't see anything wrong with my cue sheets :)

Re: Cue Sheet support

Could you elaborate on the matter ? I'm affraid I now have 200 erroneous cue sheets ... and I don't want to re-rip everything once again :(

Re: Hang-up when extracting with b14

In several cds I have tried, I get what it seems a hangup after encountering C2 errors. Rip will stop indefinitely in the "Verifying copy integrity" step. Using b14 in Snow Leopard. Enabled log level 2, and I get this in the console: 2009-10-04 03:42:00.542 Rip[5265:903] *** -[NSCFArray insertObjec...

Search For Metadata Using

The built-in album art search function is very useful but I feel the name of the menu item does not reflect the purpose of the tool. How about "Search For Album Art Using" ? :) As it is right now there is no metadata displayed with the results of the search. It would be neat if you could display res...

Re: Cue Sheet support

Since cue sheets are not generated after a rip has been completed, I just want to point out that they currently do not include the "FILE" tag containing the path to the actual file name. One could manually edit the cue sheet after each rip but it could get tedious over time. I feel I am lacking info...

Re: Some RIP thoughts/moments ...

+1 for simultaneous output encoding! :) It is a very useful feature as it allows us to rip to lossless for archival functions and automatically generate a lossy version for our portable devices. I am sure this could be done quite elegantly in the UI (simple to configure). It could be as easy as a ch...

Re: Cue Sheet support

Yes, that is the logic I would apply to "separate tracks cue sheets". If only a few tracks have been ripped, do not generate a cue sheet. If the entire album gets digitized to separate tracks, generate "separate tracks cue sheets" automatically. I had a ripped a lot of my albums to FLAC files using ...

Re: Automatically Detect Pregaps

I think the Detect Pregaps toolbar button detracts from the fact that they are automatically detected upon exctraction.

Re: Cue Sheet support

Do you plan to support cue sheets for separated track files in the future ?

Cue Sheet support

Rip already outputs a useful ripping log, are you planning to support cue sheet generation in the near future ? This would allow us to keep track of the exact track positions when ripping to files. Just like the log generation, I would make this a default behavior in order to keep UI clutter to a mi...

Automatically Detect Pregaps

It is clear that you are fighting UI clutter and aiming for ripping accuracy through simplicity (way to go!). I would suggest a default behavior of automatically detecting pregaps for every audio CD as this would remove the need for an additional intervention.

Thanks,
