Re: Few problems

've just tried with a second drive, and the Read Offset is a bit flaky. "Determine Offset" didn't work first try, did get correct offset second try (I rejected it just to be difficult  ), and now has not worked on a couple more tries. By "not work" do you mean it didn't find any read offsets ...

Plextor 230 still not working in b11

The read offset is correctly determined and the drive spins up, but nothing is read, and I get an "Input Output" error message.
Is there any information I could supply for this problem?

Re: Few problems

I didn't get the read offset either. I pulled b9 out of the trash and got the offset detection to work off of that - but only after a couple of tries. b11 picked up the offset after that (I've ripped some tracks with AR results), but the nice little offset data box is missing. You can set the offse...

Allow extraction failure?

I'm not quite sure what this means.
I only tried to rip one disk with b9 that showed the extraction failure message, and those files were not saved. Does checking the box mean the files will be saved?

My update woes

I'm not having much luck with the updates. I'm getting this alert message: The managed object model version used to open the persistent store is incompatible with the one that was used to create the persistent store. ???? I did manage to get 1.09 to install by deleting previous versoins ( I was on 1...

Re: 1.09 update is improperly signed?

I keep getting it.
I'm using a public Wi-Fi connection right now, so I'm not installing it out of general paranoia.

Looking forward to checking out the new ripping modifications.

Re: Encoding: iTunes/Quicktime, Core Audio

I'm not sure if you would want to bother doing this .... but what I would do, is compare the files in an audio editor. This will let you know exactly what and where the difference between the files is.
Let me know if you want me to walk you through the process.

Re: Encoding: iTunes/Quicktime, Core Audio

What encoder quality setting are you using in MAX?
I think (haven't really checked myself) that iTunes is set at medium.

Define forever.

Errors that are identical on the comparison rips won't get recognized as errors. If the disk isn't in AccurateRip, there's a small bit of uncertainty about Rip's report.

Re: First experience with Rip

I find the below from the original post kinda troubling. Another interesting thing I have noticed when comparing rips with ones from XLD is that all tracks in XLD report as being accurately ripped by AccurateRip, but in Rip only about half display Accurately ripped and the confidence level while th...

Re: khead takes a whack

Here's some more crash logs. This happened using the internal drive: http://pastebin.com/m19ce2b25 I was using Safari at the time it happened. This one (and the one two posts up) happened using an external firewire drive: http://pastebin.com/m9de120 One happened when hitting the "Cancel" button, and...
